The report details how Al-Absi, known for exposing corruption in Yemen’s oil sector, was poisoned in December 2016 after uncovering sensitive information implicating powerful figures.

The investigation highlights Al-Absi’s final months, the threats he faced, and the manipulation of legal proceedings to obscure the truth. It also provides key recommendations, calling for an international inquiry into his assassination and stronger measures to protect journalists in Yemen.
