Silence Broken: A Report on Violence Against Women Defenders in Yemen

A comprehensive report from Al-Amal Women’s and Sociocultural Foundation, a member of the Justice4Yemen Pact coalition, reveals a disturbing pattern of violence and abuse against women human rights defenders in Yemen. The report documents 180 cases of violations, including arbitrary arrests, death threats, sexual violence, and online harassment. Perpetrators include government agencies, the Houthi group, and community members. These findings highlight the urgent need for increased protection and support for these courageous women. The report underscores critical gaps in Yemen’s legal framework and calls for stronger accountability mechanisms
