Watch the harrowing story of Mohammed Awada, a father of two children, the youngest born while his father lay in the morgue. Mohammed surrendered himself to the Houthis when they sought him, refusing to flee as he was confident of his innocence. Tragically, Mohammed was subjected to severe torture after his detention, leading to his death. The forensic report showed that he was severely beaten and stabbed with a sharp object in several places on his body. There were 63 separate bruises on all parts of the victim’s body and 22 stab wounds resulting from a sharp object. The report further indicated that the cause of death was bruising of the left lung and massive bleeding as a result of injury with a hard, traumatic object.
