Justice4Yemen Pact Statement on the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

The Justice4Yemen Pact Coalition marks the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence with a renewed call to protect women and girls in Yemen, who continue to face escalating violence amid armed conflict and humanitarian collapse. With more than 6.2 million women and girls at risk — alongside rising displacement, digital blackmail, targeted killings, and entrenched discrimination — urgent action is needed to safeguard their rights, dignity, and security.

The Coalition urges national authorities, international partners, and civil society organizations to strengthen protection mechanisms, expand safe shelters, ensure accountability for violations, and guarantee women’s participation in decision-making and peace processes. Ending violence against women is a national priority and a shared responsibility.
