In a joint statement on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Justice4Yemen Pact coalition calls on the international community to integrate them, protect their rights and dignity, and establish an independent accountability mechanism for Yemen to achieve justice and ensure accountability for those responsible for human rights violations.
The statement called for the inclusion of the rights of persons with disabilities within the framework of peace negotiations to enhance Inclusion and addressing the specific challenges of this vulnerable population group.
We reaffirm the need to enable local human rights organizations in Yemen to effectively respond to the specific needs of marginalized groups, including persons people with disabilities.
