Under the SPARK Project (Supporting Peace in Yemen through Accountability, Reconciliation, and Knowledge-Sharing), a symposium brought together 40 representatives from political parties and political forces from four governorates to discuss the recently developed Guideline on the Role of Political Parties in Transitional Justice. The event provided a platform for dialogue on how political actors can contribute to advancing accountability, reconciliation, victims’ rights, and inclusive peacebuilding in Yemen. Participants exchanged perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of integrating transitional justice into political processes and explored practical pathways for strengthening political engagement in justice and peace efforts. The symposium reflects SPARK’s commitment to fostering inclusive dialogue and empowering key stakeholders to support a victim-centered and sustainable peace process in Yemen.
