From Victims to Vision: Draft Recommendations for a Just Peace in Yemen

The Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children (CSWC), in partnership with DT Institute under SPARK project, has released the paper “Recommendations for Transitional Justice from the Perspective of Victims.”

The document presents a victim-centered framework to address Yemen’s legacy of human rights violations and promote a future based on justice, equality, and sustainable peace.

It calls on all parties to end the conflict, acknowledge violations, provide reparations, and ensure victims’ participation. The recommendations also urge the international community to integrate transitional justice into peace efforts and support accountability mechanisms.

The paper highlights the voices of victims, especially mine survivors in Taiz, emphasizing that justice means safety, dignity, and opportunity—not only compensation.
