This video highlights the Political Parties Initiative under the SPARK Project, which was designed to address a critical gap in political engagement on transitional justice. Through a series of consensus-based dialogue sessions, the initiative brought together representatives of political parties and political forces from across Yemen to discuss key transitional justice issues and identify areas of common ground.

The dialogues encouraged constructive engagement among political actors, helping to build a shared understanding of accountability, victims’ rights, truth-seeking, reparations, and reconciliation. The discussions also explored how transitional justice can be integrated into future political and peacebuilding processes.

Building on the outcomes of these dialogues, the initiative culminated in a symposium that launched the Political Parties and Transitional Justice Guide—a practical reference document that captures areas of consensus, highlights points of divergence, and provides guidance for political parties on supporting and integrating transitional justice into their policies and actions. The guide aims to foster a unified political narrative that places justice, accountability, and reconciliation at the center of Yemen’s path toward lasting peace.
