On the International Day to Protect Education from Attack (September 9), Justice4Yemen Pact Coalition (J4YP) together with more than 20 organizations urge all parties in Yemen to end violations against schools, pay teachers’ salaries, and rehabilitate war-damaged classrooms. With over 4.5 million children out of school and thousands of schools destroyed or militarized, protecting education is not a choice but an urgent necessity for peace and recovery. We call on the international community, donors, and civil society to act now to ensure safe schools, respected teachers, and a future of hope for Yemen’s children.
