Five Years in the Morgue: Justice for a Marginalized Family in Taiz

This short film tells a true story from Taiz, Yemen, where the Restorative Justice Initiative turned suffering into a journey of hope. It shows how dialogue can heal wounds, how forgiveness restores dignity, and how communities can build peace beyond the law. Implemented by the Abductees’ Mothers Association and SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties, with support from the DT Institute under SPARK project, this initiative proves that peace can begin in the smallest of villages — and that true justice is the restoration of humanity and community cohesion.
