Al-Bayda governorate, a focal point for violations, witnessed the emblematic 2024 Hammat Sarrar incident, where checkpoint guards killed two civilians, sparking violent retaliation and a siege. These actions violate international human rights laws and Yemeni legal standards, reflecting widespread impunity. To address this, the coalition calls for impartial investigations, accountability, training in legal standards for checkpoint forces, and continued documentation of violations to drive justice and reform.
