Transitional Justice in Yemen: Lessons from Rwanda and Chile

The documentary Transitional Justice explores pathways to ending protracted conflict through a comparative look at Yemen alongside international experiences such as #Rwanda and #Chile.

The film highlights how accountability, reparations, and community-based justice mechanisms contributed to reconciliation and stability in both countries, while examining how the absence of effective transitional justice in Yemen has fueled recurring cycles of violence and fragmentation.

It also sheds light on the vital role of Yemeni civil society in documenting violations and promoting #TransitionalJustice as a path toward sustainable peace and reconciliation.

This documentary was produced as part of the #SPARK_Project, implemented by SAM Organization in partnership with the Abductees’ Mothers Association, with support from DT Institute.
