On World Children’s Day, the Justice4Yemen Pact Coalition, in conjunction with Yemeni civil society, released a statement exposing the dire situation of Yemeni children enduring a decade of war. The statement documents thousands of child casualties and numerous grave violations disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. It calls for immediate action, including establishing international accountability mechanisms; implementing a comprehensive plan for re-enrolling out-of-school children; and addressing the humanitarian crisis by ensuring access to food, vaccines, and essential services. The statement specifically urges the Houthi group to cease its anti-vaccine disinformation campaign and facilitate unimpeded access to essential services for children.
